UNAUTHORIZED DEPARTMENT is not built around a single product, vehicle or scene. It exists where different cultures meet: streetwear, automotive design, photography, music, travel and the city after dark. It is a project for people who create their own direction instead of waiting for approval.
The Department began with a simple idea: build something that feels more like an organisation than a conventional clothing label. A place with its own visual language, records, personnel, crews and internal structure. A platform where clothing is only one part of a wider cultural system.
MORE THAN A LABEL
The Department produces garments, but it is not defined by garments alone. Collections are treated as uniforms. Photography becomes documentation. Vehicles become personal records. Cities become operational environments. Members are not reduced to customers; they become part of the identity and evolution of the project.
The objective is not to imitate an institution. It is to create a fictional structure capable of documenting real people, real places and real creative work. Every collection, editorial and collaboration adds another entry to the archive.
BUILT BETWEEN CULTURES
UNAUTHORIZED DEPARTMENT draws from several worlds without belonging completely to any of them: the precision of automotive design, the raw energy of independent streetwear, the anonymity of cities after midnight, the imperfect realism of documentary photography and the movement of people who rarely stay in one place for long.
These elements form a shared visual and cultural territory. The project does not promote illegal activity. The word unauthorized represents independence, creative resistance and the decision to build without waiting for external validation.
ACCESS IS REQUESTED
Membership is intentionally selective. An account can be created, but access to the internal network is requested and reviewed. The system is designed to protect the quality of the community rather than maximise the number of users.
Membership is not presented as a status symbol. It represents participation, contribution and trust.

THE DEPARTMENT IS STILL BEING BUILT
UNAUTHORIZED DEPARTMENT is not presented as complete. The platform, collections, crews and editorial archive will continue to evolve. Some ideas will be released. Others will remain internal. Samples will be rejected. Systems will be rebuilt.
That process is part of the identity. This is not the final form of the Department. It is the first public record.
